During 2012, I painted some nature paintings including crabs, fish and dragonflies. After spending the previous 20 or so years painting with oil paints I wanted to return to acrylic paint. This was also a departure from the cubist painting style I had been working in. Because the acrylic paint feels somewhat flat to me I decided to mix crushed stone and marble dust in the paint to give it a little texture. I have been happy with these paintings and perhaps I will make some more if I get a chance. Most of these paintings are still available. Contact rick@rickclement.com.
